Someone once commented on this as something that reminded them of an acid trip ;p Orange Light Faint shadows cascading for a moment Then changing as I write and lift my pen Fingernails glistening with slight reflections Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Skin taking on the tint of an unknown Rings, metallic binding these pages Glowing with those shining beams Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Changing positions of a forest green notebook Allowing for a different angle from my heater Revealing the full texture and look of the page Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Thirty-Five holes to the left allowing Thirty-Three blue lines controlling One red line vertically striking Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Plastic white bindings on wire strings Pulling electric currents from the line Deliver the energy needed to generate Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Silver things shining all around Walls taking on the tints of creamy white The one lamp in the room dark blue Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Clocks digits showing a deeper red Casing a Black, black as the darkest Enchanted forest curtain twists and loops Of Pale Orange Light falling out over Absence of a conclusion light hearted Sith comes a beginning in a song A note of divinity and purity crystals Of Pale Orange Light falling out over |

Her laughter bubbles like a spring Over flowing from her lips To reach my parched ears and provide relief How thirsty I was for the sound of her voice My lips trace dizzy smiles as she giggles Her speech is intoxicating My vision is clouded and yet I see Her beauty: soft, subtle and true. |

Post subject: | Whisp and Belli |
I really like that friendship haiku Whisp It reminds me of the hope that friends both in AO and irl give to me. Belli, I really enjoyed that. It is verbatim the way I feel around a girl I know irl. I would quote a favorite line from it but I related and enjoyed all of the lines equally |

Post subject: | A poem not by me. |
This is probably my favorite poem. It's by someone else. I had to memorize it for Drama in highschool. And recite it with projection and stage presence in class. Gene Wilder as "Willy Wonka" recites the first couple of lines from it in the original "Willy Wonka" movie. We Are The Music Makers We are the music-makers, And we are the dreamers of dreams, Wandering by lone sea-breakers, And sitting by desolate streams. World-losers and world-forsakers, Upon whom the pale moon gleams; Yet we are the movers and shakers, Of the world forever, it seems. With wonderful deathless ditties We build up the world's great cities, And out of a fabulous story We fashion an empire's glory: One man with a dream, at pleasure, Shall go forth and conquer a crown; And three with a new song's measure Can trample an empire down. We, in the ages lying In the buried past of the earth, Built Nineveh with our sighing, And Babel itself with our mirth; And o'erthrew them with prophesying To the old of the new world's worth; For each age is a dream that is dying, Or one that is coming to birth.
